Passenger Rail Oklahoma Statement:
Perry
is strategically located between two population centers in Oklahoma;
Stillwater and Enid. The combined population of these three communities
would logically make the Perry Santa Fe depot a multimodal transportation hub
for the region. Stillwater hosts Oklahoma State University. Enid
hosts a combined Northern Oklahoma College and Northwest Oklahoma State
University. Local bus transportation between Stillwater and Guthrie is
already in place. Expansion of this bus service between Enid and
Stillwater with connections in Perry is highly recommended with expansion of
Amtrak service.
